Learn in the land of the lion king
Experience the Marai Mara

The grasslands of the Kenyan wilderness offer exquisite outdoor experience with abundance of wilder beasts like giraffes, bison, African elephants and the king himself, the LION.
This summer experience visit the animal planet with a learning program designed in the Kenyan heartland; mingle with the Masai tribe and as they say in Swahili, Hakunamata!

Learning Objectives:

   • Wildlife and Conservation: at the David Sheldrick’s trust for orphaned elephants
   • History: the evolution of mankind and the African folklores
   • People: Interaction with the Masai tribe, their life and living
   • Bird watching: The skills behind identifying bird species

Program Activities

  • ‘David Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust’ – visit the home for orphaned baby elephants, interact with the elephants and explore the conservation work done by the volunteers there.

  • ‘Giraffe Centre’ – In Karen visit the centre where you get up close with the giraffes as you learn more about them and get to feed them.

  • Visit to Nairobi National Museum’ where you get to learn more on local history and get a chance to tour the Snake park.

  • Visit to ‘Lake Nakuru’– the world heritage site famed for the abundance of algaethat attracts the vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore.

  • The Masai Mara National ReserveDay – Game drives that take you to the heartland wild beasts.

  • ‘The Masai Tribe’– discover another way of life! Meet and interact with Masai children and a visit to their local school!

  • Ripples in the pond’: a journey of reflection and insight
